The City’s HOTTEST Cold War is here!
WALK OF SHAME
a Love Unexpectedly novel
Releasing April 18th, 2017
Sparks fly between a misunderstood New York socialite and a cynical divorce lawyer in this lively standalone rom-com from the USA Today bestselling author of Blurred Lines and Love Story.
Pampered heiress Georgianna Watkins has a party-girl image to maintain, but all the shopping and clubbing is starting to feel a little bit hollow—and a whole lot lonely. Though Georgie would never admit it, the highlights of her week are the mornings when she comes home at the same time as her uptight, workaholic neighbor is leaving to hit the gym and put in a long day at the office. Teasing him is the most fun Georgie’s had in years—and the fuel for all her naughtiest daydreams.
Celebrity divorce attorney Andrew Mulroney doesn’t have much time for women, especially spoiled tabloid princesses who spend more time on Page Six than at an actual job. Although Georgie’s drop-dead gorgeous, she’s also everything Andrew resents: the type of girl who inherited her penthouse instead of earning it. But after Andrew caps one of their predawn sparring sessions with a surprise kiss—a kiss that’s caught on camera—all of Manhattan is gossiping about whether they’re a real couple. And nobody’s more surprised than Andrew to find that the
answer just might be yes.

Awww this was sweet and funny and such a perfect weekend read. Lauren Layne is quickly working her way up my favorite author list. I think it was romance at it’s finest.
Socialite Georgiana Watkins, or Georgie to her friends, runs into stodgy Andrew Mulroney, Esquire every morning at 5 am…he’s leaving to work out, she’s coming in from a night of partying. They always trade barbs and Georgie finds herself wondering why he doesn’t like her and why she even cares. The barbs coming from Andrew aren’t necessarily because he doesn’t like her, he just doesn’t know what to do with her and is a little awkward. Their fledgling friendship turns into more, but will it last with them being such complete opposites?
Georgie was funny and witty and so likable. She was happy and wanted everyone to be happy too. Andrew was a little awkward because he was super smart and he really had no clue how to deal with Georgie since she was so different from him. He just knew she would be trouble for him so he tried to push her away. They were really great together.
Like I said, this was pure romance. There was a little conflict above and beyond their initial antagonism of each other, but nothing that they couldn’t get over rather quickly. I loved the light feeling of this story 🙂
